Business licenses are issued to businesses each year. Rates are $25 for 0-3 employees and for 4 or more employees the rate is $25 plus $5 per employee over 3.
There is a maximum tax liability of $1,000.
A new business must be approved by council before a license can be issued.

Existing businesses must fill out a SAVE form and a Department of Revenue (DOR)form each year. Cities in Georgia are required by O.C.G.A. Sec. 50-36-1 to participate in the federal Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program. Applicants for public benefits - example-business licenses - must produce an affidavit verifying their status as U.S. citizens or as any other legal status other than citizens.
